New Lens for Christmas

Just a quick pic taken in Griff's room, with my new lens. It's a nice little prime lens, no zoom (Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II, aka the "Nifty Fifty.") One of the best lens' for the money!

More Than Meets The Eye

I made a quick trip to the car tonight to get something, and I noticed that the clouds were awesome. After many failed attempts to capture the clouds in their full glory (thanks to some slow kit-glass, thankfully I should be getting my 50mm lens UPS this week) I pointed the camera towards some light that was visible from our backyard. While I was editing some of the pics, this one stood out to me. The big power pole resembles something... What do you see?

P.S.S. Pay no attention to the ISO noise or the softness of the picture... It really wasn't that great of a picture (detail wise) but I just thought it was unique.

First Christmas!

Just a sneak peek of a shoot I did with my wife and son! I was going for a more old-school look and feel here. We shot close to 200 pics.

Just a few newly edited pics from the Pumpkin Patch in Abilene. This is my sister's family, more to come of cousin's family and some grandparents!
